Gardner Research Group

Mission: Basic education in the life sciences is critical for future biologists and an informed democratic citizenry. We believe that decisions about pedagogy and education policy must be informed by both evidence and equity considerations. Therefore our team employs cutting edge mixed methods research to understand how to develop effective biology instructors and engage diverse stakeholders in conversations around instruction. We envision a world of empowered biology educators utilizing evidence-based and equitable instructional practices to engage all students.
